Phil Boyle
Managing Director

Phil is President Elect of the global Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).  In 2004 he was awarded the RAeS Sir Robert Hardingham Sword for outstanding service to the Society.

Phil was an operational pilot in the RAF for twenty years. His final tour was at A&AEE Boscombe Down, where he was involved in test and trials flying.

On retiring from the RAF in the mid 80’s, Phil was employed by a Mayfair-based Management Consultancy and managed a number of high level projects across a wide sector before being headhunted into one of the UK’s leading executive recruitment consultancies as a high-tech and manufacturing specialist. He was a co-founder of Ramsey Hall Limited.

Phil is a generalist executive recruiter by design but his obvious strengths in the Aerospace, Engineering and Manufacturing sectors have led to him being recognised as a “specialist” in these areas. He has considerable knowledge of the industrial sector and has recruited at Board, senior and specialist levels within this sector.

Phil has led the development of the Ramsey Hall recruitment and selection system which sees the seamless integration of Best Practice Psychometric and Recruitment procedures into a single process that provides low risk recruitment procedures which identify and attract leadership talent.  At Board level the process is specifically designed to enhance Board Effectiveness and potential, coupled to the fact that he had led the recruitment of well over 300 Board positions, means that Phil is uniquely well positioned to co-present this.

Phil is a Chartered Engineer with first degrees in Engineering and in Maths. He has a Masters Degree in Avionics Systems and another in Management Sciences.  Phil also has a Level A/Level B+ qualification in psychometrics and is accredited to use the HPI and MVPI systems.
